PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING

Glenn Heights City Ordinance 715-01 allows two (2) garage sales per year, which may be held for a maximum of four (4) consecutive days Thursday through Sunday.  Sales continuing more than one day in duration shall be on consecutive days.  Sales shall be only in residential zoned districts on the same lot as a residential dwelling.  Only the sale of personal property will be allowed, and shall not include retail merchandise sold or offered for sale for the benefit of a commercial retail establishment.

Permits shall be obtained before the commencement of the sale.  Permits obtained after the commencement shall be double the permit fee.

Signs indicating the address, date and time of the sale may be placed out on the day prior to the sale, and shall be removed within 24 hours after the sale has concluded.  The permit holder may place one (1) sign on the property where the sale is located, and four (4) additional signs off-premises.

Signs shall not be placed in the public right-of-way, on utility poles, trees, official signs, or within thirty (30) feet of an intersection (the sight visibility triangle).  Signs shall be less than three (3) feet in height, and no larger than six (6) square feet in area.
