Associate Judge Bio

 

 

Angela Downes is an attorney and mediator currently in private practice in Irving. Her experience encompasses and focuses on public service, policy and legislative efforts to protect the public trust. She has provided training, policy expertise and technical assistance to non-profit agencies on interpersonal violence issues of child abuse, child protection, domestic violence, human trafficking, and elder abuse. She has held positions with the Dallas County District Court as a, leading Court Programs for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and as a Senior Attorney with the National District Attorneys Association. Judge Downes holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mercer University and a law degree from Texas A & M University of Law.
