Captain Honore Britton

Captain, Honore Britton, started his firefighting career with the Dallas Fire Department in September 1998. He served the citizens of the Oak Cliff neighborhood at Station 26 on B-Shift as a firefighter/paramedic. While working for Dallas he received his Master Firefighter Certification and served the department for 16 years before resigning in 2015.

While working for the Dallas Fire Department Britton enlisted in the United States Navy Reserve in 2010 and serves as a proud member of the Seabee community as an Utilities man attached to a Naval Cargo Handling Battalion drilling at Naval Air Station Fort Worth, TX. Britton has worked in Private EMS as an employee with Allegiance Mobile Health since 2014 serving in the capacity of Paramedic and Business Development Coordinator.

During a two year break in in the fire service he concentrated on his post-graduate studies at the University of North Texas as he pursued a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Emergency Management which was conferred in May 2018. Britton holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Mississippi Valley State University in Health, Physical Education and Recreation where he was a 2-year letterman in football for the Delta Devils. He also played collegiately at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and The University of Southern Mississippi. Britton is a product of Biloxi, Mississippi, where he attended and Biloxi High School graduating in 1990.

In February 2017 Britton joined the Glenn Heights Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic. In April 2018 he was promoted to the rank of Captain with the collateral duty of assisting the Emergency Management program to help mitigate damages due to natural catastrophes and other disasters within the Glenn Heights area.
